A Tale Dark and Grimm is a good book for kids who are up for adventure. This book is chock-full of adventure and more! It does contain a little of violent stuff like killing and sticking people in the underworld. I recommend this book for eight and older because if you are younger than eight or even seven, this book will probably give you really bad nightmares. Seriously, there is a page that says “Read on if you dare,” and it says to get all little kids away and don’t read the book to them because if the kid gets nightmares it’s you to blame.
I think this book is great and full of adventure and survival. I think the main idea of this book is how Hansel and Gretel survive all the things they’ve gone through, such as fighting a dragon, almost being eaten by some crazy woman who lives in a candy house (which you’re probably familiar with in the original version). If you like all the things I just said, and if you’re eight and older, I hope that you’ll read this book in the school library!
