Into the Wild by Erin Hunter Review by Gavin M. Into the Wild, by Erin Hunter, starts out in a village on the edge of a huge forest. Many cats live in this village. But four Clans of mysterious savage cats live in the forest. A cat named Rusty lives in the village with his sister, Princess, and friends, Smudge and Henry. One day, Rusty wanders into the forest. There he meets Graypaw, Bluestar, and Lionheart, three Clan cats. He discovers that the Clan cats are not truly savages. Bluestar, a Clan named ThunderClan’s leader, invites Rusty to join. Rusty agrees, and becomes Firepaw, an apprentice. But another Clan, ShadowClan has a brutal leader named Brokenstar. Brokenstar is dangerously ambitious, and wants full control of the forest. Windclan has already stood up and suffered, and RiverClan has just given up territory.
Can ThunderClan end Brokenstar’s brutal reign alone? Look out for Fire and Ice’s review!

The Thirteenth Unicorn by W. D. Newman Review by Melody K. Have you ever imagined that there could be another world behind your garden fence or behind your barn? Well in this book The Thirteenth Unicorn there is...
The Thirteenth Unicorn, by W. D. Newman, is about Camelot. Camelot is a magical world made by a mysterious wizard by the name of Merlin. The witch lives in the part of Camelot called Stone Dog. She has to collect thirteen unicorn horns to let her “boss” into Camelot and destroy the most magical part of Camelot called TWILIGHT. The elves now live in twilight. The elves fled from Faerie because of the disease called Blight which the elves and the dwarves (both allergic to the Blight) next door in the Kingdom of Nimrodell lived in. Getting back to the witch the witch’s boss by the name of Mordred are working together to get thirteen unicorn horns so they can reopen the passage to another world named CRAG, which Merlin also created, and the world of Faerie. The main characters being Ben Aldermen, Casey Aldermen, and their grandmother, Louise Aldermen, who are real human beings who live on Earth, on a farm, in South Carolina. Ben and Casey were just spending the summer but they live in Atlanta, Georgia, when one day when Ben was washing the caps of their soda and saw his grandma go into their bamboo canes and then come out. Then Ben said to Casey that their grandma was acting suspicious. They decided to investigate why their grandma would go into the bamboo canes. In this book you will find out the adventures that Ben, Casey , and, Louise will experience and you will find out the new friends that they will meet. There is presently another book in the Ben Alderman Series called The Black Dragon, also written by W. D. Newman. I hope you will look into these books. |
